As you all know, activity has been greatly reduced since RuneWeb's inception. As a result, we have decided, albeit reluctantly, to close the forums. They will remain for awhile but will be locked and no new posts will be added.

The last day the forums will accept new posts will be June 8th 2008.

On a personal note, I for one, will miss many of you here. Since joining RuneNews several years ago and being around for the migration to, and the birth of, RuneWeb, I've watched many interactions between our members but I will most fondly remember the comraderie shown by the majority of you.

So please, use this thread to share your thoughts, your memories, post pics, whatever you want. As per our usual, do your best to stay away from flaming. It's a time to say goodbye, not a time to air animosities.

wow...I was afraid this was coming, but I kept my hopes up that it may never happen.

I'm gonna miss this place, I'm gonna miss the people. If anyone actually ever wants to talk or keep in touch or anything, add me on RS or join my Clan Chat.

I remember luckk13 showed me this place and I kind of made it my RS forum home. I just kind of drifted in and out of here over the years it's been open..I'm going to miss it..

Well, I think everybody knew that this day would come, I really wanted the forums to become active again, but that never quite happened.

I have been around since the days of Runenews, and have alot of good memories from both RN and RW.

I loved Runenews, it was by far my favourite community, the atmosphere was great, the people (for the most part) were great, it was awesome. Runeweb was never quite as good as Runenews imo, and when all of the old RN members started to leave, RW really started to spiral downwards.

I am going to miss this place, alot, not sure if I will move to another forum, dont know if I feel like starting over on another forum.

PS: Slim, I will add you on RS, gonna try to keep in touch with the remaining people on this site that actually still play RS.

PS#2: if anyone can find out exactly when RuneNews was created that would be awesome!

Well, I thought this would be coming, I have been a real dick at times, I apologize, I will miss the forums and all of it's humor, but then again, averthing dies sooner or later.

Wow...this really sucks.

Although I rarely posted, I've been coming to this forum for around 6 years now. It's strange, I sort of always assumed that I was a part of the community, but I guess now that I look back on my time here I would be surprised if any of you would peg me as a regular.

And maybe that's the story of my life. Well, not maybe.

Regardless, I've really enjoyed my time here. And I'm glad that even though it's gone now, I was a part, albeit a small one, of this community.
