It's no surprise that everyone is upset about this update, the complete opposite actually. We were all given ample warning time before this update occured, time to prepare ourselves so that we don't have to protest and get blown out of proportions by it, but people still do.

I've heard of the system not working for certain people; having no limit. Cafe says he can only trade 3k because he is on f2p, even though he has 245QP. It looks like Jagex is trying to make a few members back from this.

Yes, Jagex ruined the wilderness, trading and helping friends, but give them more time. If you know anything about Jagex, they are slow to react. They confirmed a new PVP minigame coming out, something of that like the wilderness. They are going to come with an item lend system, that WILL need tweaks if they have not already. Atleast the 3k limit has gone up a little bit for members with more than 50QP, better than nothing eh?

With these huge updates and players protesting and rioting, forums being filled of complaints, more players sending in queries complaining, Jagex hardly has time to wipe the tea from their mouths. I would give Jagex until the end of Febuary to redeem themselves a little bit. The main things they need to do right now is get summoning out, fix the bugs/glitches with it, released the PVP minigame and then release the item lend system. Who knows, maybe in 6 months when Runescape is nearly bot and RWT free, the limits will raise a little. As more quests come out and QP raise, the limit might as well.

All i'm saying is that this update came as no surprise. Don't be pissed still. Give it time, weather that is qutting for a month or two or just continue to play. It WILL get better, but don't get your hopes up for anything huge.

Anyone else notice in the three summoning posters, that they showed us all we need.

The first was a land animal, a dog looking thing.

The second was a bird type of animal, you know the whole deal with eggs.

And the third was an amphibious two headed monster.

So the elements were given, but I question the use of water type creatures...

Any thoughts?

No, I do not think they are going to change anything now. I thought for sure they would when the first updated, but its how long later and there are still no changes.

This is a good deal off topic, but either way, I somewhat doubt they'll have 'elements' or anything like that; in fact there's a lot more to Summoning then just the idea of what you posted.

Next quest/update will be on this zone of map ^_^

Jagex will continue the "Olaf's Quest" where the cursed treausure is.

IPB Image

I think there will be "aquatic pets/monsters" because they made the brine sable with its special for use underwater. I think the cave of olaf quest will be used to train those "aquatic pets".

Tales about a legendary city underwater will come soon ^_^

It would have made more sense to post it in one of other Summoning topics.

Also everyone if you don't agree with someone else, take a deep breath, calm down, and make a nicer post. It's just the internet.

Also, sorry but the Quest Guide will not be out tonight as I promised, though it will definitely be out Friday.

Amazing! People complain that Jagex isn't doing anything about RWT/Bots. So, Jagex takes the time and comes up with these updates against RWT/Bots, and people are still complaining.

Question: Did anyone ever think that ones complaining are the ones that are participating in the illegal activities?

If summoning will be f2p also, then some areas on f2p have to change.
Do you have any ideas where to investigate on f2p?

First off, you have a few too many signatures.

Second of all, I don't think complete restriction of all prices of items, absolute destruction of giving things away AND PKing, the only thing in the game (as of when I played) that required any semblance of skill in the game was what the people who wanted RWT to stop.

Example, when Blizzard was trying to shut down RWT, they made it so it took an hour or so for money to go through the mail, so (presumably) they have time to check through things and make it legit. They didn't go Stalin on the Auction House.

Also, by your same logic, perhaps the people who complained about RWT aren't the people complaining about communist Runescape currently.

I just spent a good five minutes cleaning this thread out of spam. Now, stay on topic or don't post. This includes discussing updates not listed in the BTS and various freeplay wishlist updates.

On the topic, three quests in a single month means that poor Data will have to grow an extra six arms. (Either that, or someone else that plays RS can give a hand...)

There's no logical reason that Summoning will be freeplay. Just because it raises combat doesn't mean that it'll give anyone any sort of advantage, you know. If it's restricted to Members, a 138 is not statistically better or advantaged than a 126 on freeplay.

I also find it quite aggravating that people will sit there and have the nerve to "riot" ingame. First, your subscription's already been paid for, and if you spend your $5 to riot about something they did, then that's on you and it doesn't hurt them. Second, rioting accomplishes nothing when the company can just as easily ban you.

The game's changing. We either adapt to the changes or go subscribe to WoW. Although, I think that Twilight would flip out if people started to do that...
