Taken From Www.RuneScape.Com:
August will begin with a new feature we're sure you'll all love: Clan Chat! You'll be able to set up your own chat channel that you and your clan-mates can use to keep in touch with each other, as well as being able to rank the members in your chat channel, control who can talk, and much, much more. It's an entirely new feature for RuneScape, but we have no doubt that you'll all take to it like fish to water.
Other updates this month include a few more of our small improvement projects. You’ll be seeing better examine descriptions on some items (which should help establish where they come from) and also some graphical changes, making potentially dangerous game areas LOOK more dangerous.
The second improvement project this month concentrates on some old friends. Ever grow tired of the selection of haircuts and base-outfits in the game? Ever wondered what those odd silver arm guards are that some people have? Ever been jealous of Romeo's great hair? Well, you too can have the “foppish” look and all sorts of other styles besides, when later this month we release a player kit update. During the first week or so of launch we will make all costume, haircut and arm guard changes totally free, just so you can have a bit of fun without it denting your pocket.
We will also be adding some information to the world select screen about “themed” servers. As you all know, it’s often much more fun to train and play minigames with other people, especially those team-based events like Trouble Brewing. Because of this, we decided that we would add a new column to the world select screen highlighting those worlds with associated activities. Naturally, you’ll still be able to play the content anywhere you like, but if you want to find people with similar ideas, then you’ll know where to look.
August's game updates will be complete with perhaps the most intense update of the year as we take a peek into the past... and into the God Wars Dungeon. For many centuries, legions of unique creatures lay frozen in time, locked in a battle that began back in the Third Age of RuneScape. Recent tectonic movement in the Wilderness has caused hot springs to surface in the dungeon, thawing the occupants, with potentially devastating effects. Inside their icy tomb, relics from the most destructive period of history have defrosted and resumed their grisly battle... Incredible loot, ancient boss-monsters, extinct species and one of the most graphically intensive updates of the year will leave you begging for a nice simple goblin* to kill. Don’t worry! There are even some of them in there, with the rest of the Bandos army. Yes, we said army. Oh, and Armadyl, too. Remember him? You soon will when one of his avian troops swoops down and disembowels you. Believe us.
We'll also be adding the usual website extras like the Postbag from the Hedge and the Players' Gallery, as well as a brand new Development Diary.
That’s all folks!
* No goblins were harmed during the writing of this Behind the Scenes document. Well, maybe a few. But they did call us names.

seems like a pretty decent month, I like that they are letting people try new looks for free for a while and hopefully the new monsters and dungeon place will bring some nice new items...

The only paragraph that strikes my fancy (and is forcing me atm to hurry up and get more members) is the fifth. I want that sword.

QUOTE Oh, and Armadyl, too. Remember him? You soon will when one of his avian troops swoops down and disembowels you. Believe us. Nvm my post above. I think will be a quest related with Armadyl (Temple of Ikov sequel)
I don't see any sword on the text. Where is? Maybe a Dragon Sword?

Wow. Another good month in the way of updates. I've been looking forward to clan chat for a while and it is nearly here. I'm not going to get my hopes up too high but it does sound good. New player kits will be sweet. Coincidentally I was hoping we would get more options to customize are character but Jagex was ahead of me on this one.
This new dungeon sounds very interesting. I'll be sure to check it out on the day of it's release.

Jagex talking about a icy place, maybe will be the dungeon on Ice Pleateau (If im correct, the 3 spellbooks have a teleport to that place)

Jagex is just adding stuff people have had for ages; but i do think that having stuff inside the client would be good.

I was talking to AbzAbzAbz and Lee about it. We figured a few things were possible.
It will be in the Wilderness - the entrance at least - most likely near the Ice Plateau. The area of the God Dungeon will also probably be icy. There is a chance it will be JUST a dungeon, with a bunch of big bad NPC's, but probably not - at the very least, a Mini-Quest, if not a big new quest (Mourning's End Part 3?).
Either way, there's going to be some kind of new equipment. With any luck, it'll just be a Dragon Kite - but I doubt we'll be that lucky. Lee speculated on 'Zaros Armour' - entirely possible, and I would guess Zaros is involved in this dungeon.
I would guess the dungeon will look like a battlefield; in the center, there will probably be big scary battling NPC's; then on either end, two boss NPC's - one good one, one bad one. I would feel it safe to assume there will be Mahajarrat's involved in this dungeon (the Dragon Riders of Zaros).
“My friend...You were right to send me to investigate the dwarf's drunken claims, for I have discovered a treasure beyond our wildest dreams. The aviantese are alive and I suspect they still guard the Godsword! Beneath the remnants of the temple a great battle is being fought between followers of Bandos, Armadyl, Saradomin and Zamorak...” What on earth is that all about? Find out about this, clan chatting, haircuts and more by reading this month's Behind the Scenes article..."
New equipment, if just one thing - probably the Godsword, and this whole friend thing makes it sound like a quest.
Who the hell is Bandos?
And no, I am not looking forward to this. I just want to know about so I can finish writing a guide about it ASAP.

Jagex talking about a icy place, maybe will be the dungeon on Death Pleateau (If im correct, the 3 spellbooks have a teleport to that place)
Jagex said something about the deep confines of the Wilderness or something - they definitely mentioned the Wilderness. The only icy place in the wilderness is the Ice Plateau, so I would venture to guess the entracne will be near there. By Death Plateau you meant that troll place, correct?
Also, I highly doubt that by Godsword Jagex is talking about a Dragon Sword. Maybe if the most powerful armour sword - the two hander - wasn't already released in Dragon version; however, it is, and thus I doubt that by Godsword Jagex is referring to a Dragon Shortsword. No doubt the Godsword will be a completely independent sword of biblical proportions.

I cast my doubts that the actual dungeon or entrance will be in the dungeon. Take a close look at the world map and see where the boundaries of the Wild lie.

I have lots of insights i will bring one to one:
* The Pendant of Lucien (related to temple of ikov quest-armadyl) is on the dorgeskaan dungeon just where you need grapple. On the past month changed to make mith grapples tradeables on every part of the process. Maybe the Pendant of Lucien will be needed for open the dungeon / part of the dungeon / quest.
QUOTE It will be in the Wilderness - the entrance at least - most likely near the Ice Plateau. The area of the God Dungeon will also probably be icy. There is a chance it will be JUST a dungeon, with a bunch of big bad NPC's, but probably not - at the very least, a Mini-Quest, if not a big new quest (Mourning's End Part 3?). * The 3 spellbook (modern, lunar and ancients) teles to Ice Plateau.
* On Zanaris there was a new fairy talking about a mission on the future, a mission on the north where is icy. (dunno if is part of last quest, im non member)
QUOTE Either way, there's going to be some kind of new equipment. With any luck, it'll just be a Dragon Kite - but I doubt we'll be that lucky. Lee speculated on 'Zaros Armour' - entirely possible, and I would guess Zaros is involved in this dungeon. * Dragon Pickaxe, Dragon Crossbow or Dragon Sword. The Dragonfire Shield is recent.

I would feel it safe to assume there will be Mahajarrat's involved in this dungeon (the Dragon Riders of Zaros). * Like Battlefield of Khazard but 3rd Age Version.
* An update that im waiting is a "Supreme Cape" where if you have 126 combat all your attack will be multi instead single (only on multicombat zone)
* Jagex said that the Rune Essence Mines is at north on a icy place protected by magic (Rune Mysteries quest, just before end it). The only place left is the rectangle north of Death Plateau.
* A big posibbility of the release of Blood Altar (Runecraft 77)
